1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using the PenAStory mobile or web applications (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Your account
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes. You must be at least the age of digital consent in your country to use the Service.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
PenAStory offers individual ebook, audiobook, and hard-copy purchases as well as recurring subscription plans. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms; you can manage or cancel an Apple-billed subscription in your device’s App Store settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
4. Content and licence
Books, audiobooks, mini-reads, and other materials available through the Service are licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or circumvent any access controls on this content.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by posting unlawful, infringing, or abusive content in community features such as forums and clubs, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or interfering with the Service’s operation. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PenAStory is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
